Drives expression in the prothoracic gland, but not in the corpus allatum.

In the ring gland, ScerGAL4phm.PO is expressed in the prothoracic gland but not in the corpus allatum. Transient expression is also observed in the presumptive notum of the wing disc, and in a patch of the presumptive thorax of the leg discs in wandering third instar larvae.

Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Genetic ablation of the prothoracic gland at the third instar larval stage, by the expression of grimUAS.cNa the combined control of Scer\GAL4phm.PO and Gal80[ts], leads to increased growth rate in hypoxic conditions (increased larval weight in 10% O[[2]] compared to controls).

Blocking clock function (using cycΔ.UAS.Tag:MYC or timUAS.cUa) of Scer\GAL4phm.PO neurons reduces the circadian rhythmicity of adult emergence after transfer to constant darkness, compared to controls; in the case of cycΔ.UAS.Tag:MYC, this is significant.

Slowing down or speeding up clock function (using dcoL.UAS.Tag:MYC or dcoS.UAS.Tag:MYC) of Scer\GAL4phm.PO neurons does not affect the periodicity of adult emergence after transfer to constant darkness, compared to controls.
