Expression of Socs36EΔSB.Scer\UAS.P\T, under the control of Scer\GAL4c306, weakly inhibits border cell migration. Such egg chambers have an average of 4.9 border cells.

Expression of the Socs36EΔSB.Scer\UAS.P\T transgene under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E produces loss of the anterior cross vein with a 76% penetrance compared to the 99% penetrance observed when the Socs36E wild-type transgene is expressed. Scer\GAL4en-e16E>Socs36EΔSB.Scer\UAS.P\T expression also causes humeral outgrowth, but at a greatly reduced penetrance (17%) compared to that of the wild-type transgene (38%). The penetrance of the missing haltere phenotype is also reduced in flies expressing Socs36EΔSB.Scer\UAS.P\T.
