hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
Heterozygotes have a Minute bristle and developmental delay phenotype. Heterozygotes are reduced in body and wing size when reared under uncrowded, carefully synchronised culture conditions.
pix3c2/+ flies have a slow developmental time (10-12 days) compared to wild-type flies (10 days). Adult flies are smaller than wild type with a decreased wing area, slender, short thoracic macrochaetae and occasional eye roughening.

pix3c2 dominantly enhances the small wing phenotype caused by expression of argosScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, but does not enhance the argosScer\UAS.cMa ; Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 wing vein loss phenotype.
The small wing phenotype of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096>Pi3K92ED954A.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC flies is enhanced by pix3c2/+.
