	Statement Reference The overall morphology of the male X polytene chromosome is retained in E(bx)^Nurf301-12/Df(3L)3643 mutants, although regional puffing of the chromosome is seen in most cases. (Bai et al., 2007) Mutants do pupariate. (Badenhorst et al., 2005)
