Expression of mib1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\His6,T:Hsap\MYC, under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4, induces a mild loss of macrochaete bristles from the head and loss of some L3 sensory precursors from the third instar wing disc. Expression of this transgene under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 leads to longitudinal vein breaks in the wing and missing crossveins. The wings of flies expressing mib1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\His6,T:Hsap\MYC, under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1, lack campaniform sensilla and show a mild loss of wing veins. However, these flies show normal wing margin development.

Co-misexpression of mib1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\His6,T:Hsap\MYC with DlScer\UAS.cDa along the anteroposterior compartment boundary of the wing disc, under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1, results in increased ventral disc overgrowth and ectopic wing margins that span the ventral compartment. The additional expression of mib1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\His6,T:Hsap\MYC in wing discs expressing SerScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 does not change the wing disc phenotype. Coexpression of mib1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\His6,T:Hsap\MYC rescues the wing phenotype seen when neurαRING.Scer\UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1. Expression of neurScer\UAS.cLa partially rescues the wing phenotype of flies that express mib1ΔRF.Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\His6,T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1. This phenotype is almost completely suppressed when both mib1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\His6,T:Hsap\MYC and two copies of neurScer\UAS.cLa are expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 alongside mib1ΔRF.Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\His6,T:Hsap\MYC. Expression of mib1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\His6,T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 rescues bald neur11 clones back to a mild bristle tufting phenotype. Staining at the sensory precursor level shows that mib1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\His6,T:Hsap\MYC expression rescues pIIa specification in neur11 clones.
