Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Expression of both Gr63a[Scer\UAS.cJa] and Gr21a[Scer\UAS.cJa] under the control of Scer\GAL4[Ir64a.PA] in Ir64a[MB05283], Gr63a[1] double mutant flies allows artificial stimulation of DC4 dorsal glomeruli of the adult antennal lobe by 5% CO[[2]] and robust avoidance of CO[[2]] in behavioural experiments. However, DP1m neurons are not activated by CO[[2]] in these mutants.
Coexpression of Gr21aScer\UAS.cJa and Gr63aScer\UAS.cJa under the control of Scer\GAL4Or22a.7.717 confers CO2 responsiveness on ab3A neurons, a type of neuron that is normally unresponsive to CO2. This is in contrast to expression of either UAS transgene alone or in combination with Gr10aScer\UAS.cJa, where CO2 responsiveness is not conferred.
