Description

An inverted repeat corresponding to nucleotides 859-1258 of the CkIα coding sequence, separated by an intron from the w gene, is under the control of UAS sequences. The CkIα sequences included in the construct are not predicted to interfere with any of the other eight CkI homologs.

      Coexpression of CkIαdsRNA.WIZ.Scer\UAS enhances the Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1>dcodsRNA.WIZ.Scer\UAS wing phenotype at 25oC, so that the wing hair polarity swirls extend to 17% of the wing length from the posterior cross vein, rather than the 4% seen with solo expression of dcodsRNA.WIZ.Scer\UAS.
