Expression of jebScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 results in markedly decreased pupal size.

Pan-neuronal expression of jebScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, and restricted to the adult stages using Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B, causes significant deficits in associative olfactory learning compared to controls.

Expression of jebScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4Ras64B.PW or Scer\GAL4Alk.38, and restricted to the adult stages using Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B, causes significant deficits in associative olfactory learning compared to controls.

Expression of jebScer\UAS.cVa under the control of either Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 or Scer\GAL4c747, and restricted to the adult stages using Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B, does not affect associative olfactory learning.

Pan-neuronal expression of jebScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 throughout development yields pupae that are 10-15% smaller than controls. The resulting adults are viable and normally patterned. Smaller pupae are also seen when jebScer\UAS.cVa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Ras64B.PW, Scer\GAL4Alk.38 or Scer\GAL4386Y.

Expression of jebScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4Ilp2.PR throughout development yields pupae that are a similar size to controls.

Embryos expressing jebScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4bap.3 show an increase of circular visceral founder cells at the expense of visceral fusion competent myoblasts. The midgut primordial cells are able to contact the visceral mesoderm and show proper migration in these embryos.

Statement
Reference

The reduced pupal size characteristic for animals expressing jebScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 is partially suppressed by combination with a single copy of any of the following: cnkk16314, cnk63F or rl10a.

Expression of jebScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, Scer\GAL4Ras64B.PW or Scer\GAL4386Y in a Nf1E2 mutant background results in larval lethality. In a Nf1E2/+ background pupae are able to develop and the small size phenotype is partially suppressed.

Comments

Scer\GAL4en-e16E-mediated expression of jebScer\UAS.cVa rescues visceral mesoderm formation in jebweli/Df(2R)BSC199 embryos.

R cell projection defects in flies carrying jebSH0422 clones in the eye are rescued by expression of jebScer\UAS.cPa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.
