Expression of tkvdsRNA.Scer\UAS (causing RNAi of the tkv gene) in the wings and halteres, under the control of both Scer\GAL4vg.int2.1 and Scer\GAL4tub, leads to a reduction of haltere size by 30 to 60% in proportion to wild-type halteres.

Expression of tkvdsRNA.Scer\UAS (leading to RNAi of the tkv gene) in the wing and haltere, driven by Scer\GAL4tub and Scer\GAL4vg.int2.1, leads to an increase in haltere size and a decrease in wing size.
