Flies expressing Myo61FScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 fail to undergo the male genitalia rotation seen in wild type.

Expression of Myo61FScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4tsh-md621 results in sinistral male genitalia rotation (instead of the wild-type dextral rotation).

Expression of Myo61FScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4Abd-B-LDN results in no rotation of the male genitalia in 91% of cases and sinistral rotation of the male genitalia in 9% of cases.

Expression of Myo61FScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP1548 results in full sinistral rotation of the male genitalia in 100% of cases.

Overexpression of Myo61FScer\UAS.cHa in the whole hindgut, under the control of Scer\GAL4byn-Gal4 results in 100% left-right symmetry inversion in the midgut and hindgut simultaneously. In contrast, the foregut of Myo61FScer\UAS.cHa mutant embryos show normal handedness, indicating that these left-right defects are heterotaxic.

Expression of Myo61FScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4byn-Gal4 results in inversion of the normal left-right asymmetry of the embryonic midgut and hindgut in 100% of embryos.

Expression of Myo61FScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4da.PU enhances the frequency of left/right (l/r) inversion in the posterior midgut and the hindgut seen in homozygous Myo31DFL152 mutant embryos from 80% to 100%.

Expression of Myo61FScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 does not suppress the change in direction of male genitalia rotation seen in Myo31DFK2/Myo31DFL152 mutant pupae. Mutants expressing Myo61FScer\UAS.cHa continue to exhibit the left-handed (sinistral) rotation seen in Myo31DFK2/Myo31DFL152 mutations, as opposed to the dextral (right-handed) rotation seen in wild type. Expressing Myo61FScer\UAS.cHa in Myo31DFK2 heterozygotes produces partial sinistral phenotypes.
