Statement
Reference
Imprecise excision of the P{SUPor-P} element, resulting in deletion from +1979 of the iHog coding sequence to the original P{SUPor-P} insertion site. This removes the sequence encoding the transmembrane domain of the iHog protein and some of the 5'UTR of the CG10158 gene.

iHogKG maternal germ-line clones produce embryos with denticle belt fusions. In contrast, zygotically homozygous iHoge02142 embryos exhibit no cuticle phenotype. Embryos from iHogKG maternal germ-line clones with paternally-provided iHoge02142 show less severe denticle belt fusions. Flies carrying iHogKG clones show a decrease in the extent of the intervein region between L3 and L4 in the wing.

In contrast to zygotic iHogKG single mutants, iHogKG; dlpA187 zygotic double mutants show denticle belt fusions. Embryos with maternal/zygotic iHogKG and zygotic ptc9 show the denticle belt duplication phenotype of ptc9 single mutants and not the denticle belt fusion phenotype of iHogKG maternal/zygotic single mutants.
