What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release.
It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other
FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled
vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Detailed Description
| |||
Statement Reference jetr mutants can be trained to light:dark LD cycles, but take longer to be re-entrained to a new schedule than wild-type flies. The behaviour of these mutant flies within LD and constant darkness is not different to wild-type flies.
While few wild-type flies show rhythmic behaviour in constant light conditions, jetr, jetr/jetc, jetr/Df(2L)Exel8012 and jetr/Df(2L)Exel7021 mutants all show rhythmic behaviour under these conditions. Additionally, jetr mutants show reduced responses to light pulses compared to wild-type flies. | |||

| Comments | Expression of the jet[Scer\UAS.cKa] transgene, under the control of either Scer\GAL4[cry.PU] or Scer\GAL4[tim.PE], partially rescues the reduced light response phenotype of jet[r] mutants. | ||
