visible (with Df(3L)XBB70)
vvlsep/Df(3L)XBB70 flies will eclose as adults but cannot be maintained as a viable stock. The adults show a reduction in wing size to 75-80% of normal with disruptions in wing vein patterning. Wings consistently show incomplete posterior crossvein formation as well as thinning or breaks in veins L2 and L4.
Most of posterior crossvein absent, one-third usually remaining attached to vein L5. RK2A.
dpps1, vvlsep/vvlsep has wing vein L2 phenotype
tkv1/tkv7, vvlsep/vvlsep has wing vein L2 phenotype
Egfrf37/Egfrt1, vvlsep/vvlsep has wing vein L2 phenotype
Egfrf37/Egfrt1, vvlsep/vvlsep has wing vein L3 phenotype
In combination with dpps1 or tkv1/tkv7, both LII and LIV are affected. The thick vein phenotype associated with tkv mutants is suppressed. The phenotype of vvlZm/vvlsep is also enhanced by Egfr mutants, with all longitudinal veins except L3 disappearing. vvlZm/vvlsep also enhances the loss of vein phenotypes associated with Ax mutations of N.
