Males expressing α-CatGD8808 under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP1548 sometimes show partial rotation of the genitalia.

Males expressing α-CatGD8808 under the control of Scer\GAL4Abd-B-LDN show partial rotation of the genitalia.

Expression of α-CatGD8808 in follicle cells under the control of Scer\GAL4tj-NP1624 produces oogenesis defects. Ovarioles frequently form a single giant fused egg chamber that contains multiple germline cysts.

Follicle cell clones expressing α-CatGD8808 causes loss of adherens junctions and formation of α-Spec aggregates.

Adults expressing α-CatGD8808 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in viable flies or late pupal lethality.

Males co-expressing shgKK103334 and α-CatGD8808 under the control of Scer\GAL4Abd-B-LDN have defects in genital rotation, either showing partial (77%) or no (23%) rotation.

Co-expression of SCARGD11380 does not enhance the adherens junction phenotype seen in follicle cell clones expressing α-CatGD8808.

Co-expression of Arpc1KK108277 does not enhance the adherens junction phenotype seen in follicle cell clones expressing α-CatGD8808.
