Expression of mwhGD8165 RNAi under the control of either Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 or Scer\GAL4tub.PU does not significantly alter levels of pigmentation on the abdominal tergite 5 or 6 in adult females compared to controls.

Overexpression of mwhGD8165 via Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in wing hair abnormalities.

Adults expressing mwhGD8165 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression of mwhGD8165 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) results in viable flies or complete lethality, depending on the particular P{GD8165} insertion line used.

Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in defects in locomotion.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in a colour difference between the central Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain of the notum and the surrounding lateral region in 0% or 30-40% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 0% or 20-30% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Flies expressing mwhGD8165 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 have a multiple wing hair phenotype.

Expression of mwhGD8165 under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in a multiple wing hair phenotype.

Co-expression of gishScer\UAS.RB.T:Hsap\MYC with mwhGD8165 via Scer\GAL4en-e16E suppresses the mwhGD8165-induced wing hair phenotype.

Co-expression of gishD187N.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC with mwhGD8165 via Scer\GAL4en-e16E fails to suppress the mwhGD8165-induced wing hair phenotype.

Co-expression of gishScer\UAS.RF.T:Hsap\MYC with mwhGD8165 via Scer\GAL4en-e16E fails to suppress the mwhGD8165-induced wing hair phenotype.
