The expression of CG14642GD6058 under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG, in combination with Dicer-2 for efficient RNAi, results in third instar larval class IV abdominal dorsal multidendritic ddaC neurons exhibiting dendrite terminals of similar number and average length, but branching at significantly more proximal positions, as compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4221, in combination with Dicer-2 for efficient RNAi, results in no obvious dendrite morphology defects in class I abdominal dorsal multidendritic ddaD and ddaE neurons, as compared to controls.
Adults expressing CG14642GD6058 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
