What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release.
It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other
FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled
vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Detailed Description
| |||
Statement Reference Scer\GAL4[Act5C.PU]-mediated expression of Slimp[GD10175] significantly reduces viability: only 12% of flies emerge. Lethality is increased at higher temperatures. Lethality is significantly suppressed by addition of an anti-oxidant mix in the diet.
Scer\GAL4[ptc-559.1]-mediated expression of Slimp[GD10175] results in a narrowing of the region flanked by longitudinal veins L3 and L4 in the adult wing. This is caused by a reduction in the number of cells and not a reduction in cell size. The anterior cross vein is reduced/lost in some cases.
The relative amount of mitochondrial DNA in Scer\GAL4[Act5C.PU], Slimp[GD10175] larvae is increased compared to controls.
Scer\GAL4[Act5C.PU]-mediated expression of Slimp[GD10175] does not reduce mitochondrial respiratory values (normalized by mitochondrial density).

Genetic Interactions
| |||
Statement Reference Scer\GAL4[nub-AC-62]-mediated co-expression of Slimp[GD10175] and Dcr-2[Scer\UAS.cDa] results in failure of the wing to unfold, though the overall structure of the wing is not compromised.
