Expression of Ciao1^GD7831 under the control of Scer\GAL4^ey.PU leads to small eyes with deformed eye-head structures in adults; and small eye discs with preferential loss of the ventral region in third instar larvae.

Expression of Ciao1^GD7831 under the control of Scer\GAL4^ptc.PU leads to a reduction in the size of the targeted wing region along the anterior-posterior boundary between vein 3 and 4 in adults; and an increased apoptotic activity in the A/P boundary region in the wing disc of third instar larvae.

Expression of Ciao1^GD7831 under the control of Scer\GAL4^en.PU leads to a reduction in the size of en-Gal4 domain in the wing disc of third instar larvae.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4¹⁴⁰⁷ results in shorter neuroblast lineages (less daughter cells per neuroblast) in the larval brain compared to controls.
