Expression of Dis3GD11917 driven by Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 results in a complete absence of wing blade development (no wing phenotype) and abnormal haltere in adults with 100% penetrance, and late L3 imaginal discs are significantly smaller than controls and show extensive apoptosis in the wing pouch region. Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62>Dis3GD11917 flies show delayed larval development (by 40 hours at 25[o]C). Expression of Dis3GD11917 driven by Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in a cleft thorax phenotype in adults with 100% penetrance.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in shorter neuroblast lineages (less daughter cells per neuroblast) in the larval brain compared to controls.

Adults expressing Dis3GD11917 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in early pupal lethality.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in lethality or semi-lethality at the pupal stage, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the absence of 100% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237-expressing area of the notum.
