Scer\GAL4^69B-mediated expression results in larval cuticle molting defects - mutants show characteristic double-cuticles of head skeleton and posterior spiracles in the second and third instar larvae.

Scer\GAL4^69B-mediated expression results in large epidermal lesions at wounded sites of first instar and immediate lethality.

Scer\GAL4^69B-mediated expression results in epidermal cuticle morphology defects in third instars - unusually narrowed ECM thickness and deformed chitin-matrix, and absence of lamellate chitin-scaffolds.

Adults expressing Idgf3^GD5407 under the control of Scer\GAL4^elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2^Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
