The expression of Ldh^GD6887 from the onset of adulthood, under the combined control of Scer\GAL4^da.PU and Gal80[ts], leads to decreased lifespan.

Embryos expressing ImpL3^GD6887 under the control of Scer\GAL4^kirre.PU have thinner muscles than normal and unfused myoblasts are present.

Adults expressing ImpL3^GD6887 under the control of Scer\GAL4^elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2^Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
