Expression of Usp47GD10642 RNAi under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in wing margin bristle defects. Co-expression with UAS-Dicer2 (to enhance RNAi efficiency) leads to a severe wing malformation that includes wing margin bristle defects.

Expression of Ubp64EGD10642 under the control of Scer\GAL4bbg-C96 does not result in a wing phenotype.

Expression of Ubp64EGD10642 under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU does not result in a bristle phenotype.

Adults expressing Usp47GD10642 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in early pupal lethality.

Co-expression of Usp47GD10642 and Ubc6GD13294 under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E leads to extensive larval lethality and the wing discs from larvae that can be recovered have a reduced size compared to controls.

The formation of ectopic wein material in the adult wing characteristic for flies expressing rlSem.S.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv is partially suppressed by co-expression of either Usp47GD10642 or Usp47NIG.5486R. The ameliorated phenotype of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv,rlSem.S.Scer\UAS;Usp47GD10642 flies can be worsened again by co-expression of either poeGD8339 or poeKK101471 : the severity of their ectopic venation phenotype is comparable to that of flies expressing rlSem.S.Scer\UAS only.
