Expression of Ulp1GD7581 under the control of Scer\GAL4C-765 does not induce any morphological defects in the adult wing.

Third instar larvae expressing Ulp1GD7581 via Scer\GAL4da.G32, in the presence of P{UAS-Dcr-2.D}, do not survive beyond third instar stage, exhibit extensive melanotic masses and a 15-fold increase in circulating lamellocytes. When expressed via Scer\GAL4da.G32 in the absence of P{UAS-Dcr-2.D}, animals survive to adulthood. When expressed via Scer\GAL4Cg.PA and in the absence of P{UAS-Dcr-2.D}, no melanotic masses or increase in lamellocytes are observed.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in semi-lethality before the pupal stage.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the absence of 90-100% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237-expressing area of the notum.

The partial fusion of veins L3 and L4) characteristic for flies expressing smoPKA12.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4C-765 is ameliorated by co-expression of Ulp1GD7581.

Whereas Scer\GAL4Cg.PA-mediated expression of Ulp1GD7581 or krzGD8470, in the absence of P{UAS-Dcr-2.D}, does not result in a melanotic mass or circulating lamellocyte phenotype, their co-expression results in the formation of multiple melanotic masses and 10-fold higher levels of circulating lamellocytes.

Whereas Scer\GAL4da.G32-mediated expression of Ulp1GD7581 or krzGD8470, in the absence of P{UAS-Dcr-2.D}, does not result in lethality, their co-expression results in 100% at larval stages.
