Expression of brmGD4507 under the control of either Scer\GAL4nub.PK or Scer\GAL4en.PU results in unfurled or reduced-size wings with various wing defects. Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI-driven expression is lethal; no overt adult phenotype is observed with either Scer\GAL4ey.PH or Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Flies expressing Scer\GAL4c564>brmGD4507 show a significant decrease in survival following Enterobacter cloacae (E. cloacae) or Erwinia carotovora Ecc15 infections when compared with control flies.

Larval brains expressing brmGD4507 under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA contain additional type II NB-like cells. Transplantation of this tissue into the abdomens of adult wild type hosts results in tumor formation.

Fewer intestinal stem cells (ISCs) are seen in the posterior midguts of adult flies expressing brmGD4507 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130. The number of mitotic cells is also reduced. The cells exhibit a spherical shape compared with the angular shaped control cells. After five or 13 days of brmGD4507 expression no large enterocyte-like cells are observed in ISC clones, indicating that differentiation is not taking place.

Expression of brmGD4507 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 inhibits the increase in intestinal stem cells (ISCs) seen in flies treated with dextran sulfate sodium (DSS).

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in shorter neuroblast lineages (less daughter cells per neuroblast) in the larval brain compared to controls.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in an increase in the number of neuroblasts in the larval brain compared to controls.

Adults expressing brmGD4507 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
