Expression of ctGD1237 under the control of Scer\GAL4NP2222 does not lead to an alteration in ethanol sedation sensitivity when compared to controls.

Expression of ctGD1237 under the control of Scer\GAL4GSG7293-1 in flies fed with RU486 does not lead to an alteration in ethanol sedation sensitivity when compared to controls.

Expression of ctGD1237 under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 results in strong and penetrant phenotypes in C-IV neurons but no phenotypes in C-I neurons. DdaC, v'ada and vdaB neurons all have reduced total dendritic length compared to controls. The total number of dendritic branches is also reduced in ddaC and v'ada and vdaB neurons.

Expression of ctGD1237 under the control of Scer\GAL4ct-PG142 (at 18[o]C, 25[o]C or 29[o]C), Scer\GAL4btl.PS (at 29[o]C) or Scer\GAL4NP5130 (at 29[o]C) leads to increased apoptosis (measured by cleaved caspase-3 immunostaining) in spiracular branch cells when compared to controls. The number of apoptotic cells is greatest at higher temperatures in which the reduction in Cut abundance is greatest for all Gal4-mediated RNAi expression.

Low level expression of ctGD1237 under the control of Scer\GAL4ct-PG142 at 18[o]C (lowering the amount of Cut in SB cells without reducing it so far that apoptosis occurs) leads to increased SB cell number when compared to controls.

Expression of ctGD1237 (in combination with BacA\p35UAS.cHa to avoid problems caused by loss of tissue integrity due to apoptosis) under the control of Scer\GAL4ct-PG142 (at 25[o]C) or Scer\GAL4NP5130 (at 18[o]C or 25[o]C) leads to an increased number of proliferating (phosphorylated histone H3 positive (pH3+)) spiracular branch cells .

Late third instar wing disc clones expressing ctGD1237 under the control of Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 have disturbed dorsal-ventral (DV) boundaries compared to controls. The anterior-posterior boundary is unaffected.

Adults expressing ctGD1237 under the control of the cardioblast-specific Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 driver show significantly reduced survival on day 6 after a shift to 29[o]C compared to control flies.

Adults expressing ctGD1237 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in early pupal lethality or late pupal lethality.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 10-20% or 30-40% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in planar polarity defects in the orientation of bristles of the notum in 0% or 40-50% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.
