Expressing dpyGD4443 under the control of Scer\GAL4bs.Term does not have an obvious effect in trachea branching in the trachea terminal cells region; ER exit sites (identified by Sec16 staining) and the cis-Golgi (identified by GM130) do not seem to be affected. Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4repo.PU does not affect the secretion of LanA ad LanB1 by glial cells.

Expression of dpyGD4443 under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PU results in a complete retraction of the wing blade. The phenotype is seen with 100% penetrance.

Expression of dpyGD4443 under the control of Scer\GAL4Dll.PU results in a complete retraction of the wing blade and the distal segments of the legs and antennae.

Expression of dpyGD4443 under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU results in a retraction of the distal tip of the wing, where the intervein between L3 and L4 intersects with the margin. A similar but more severe retraction is seen when dpyGD4443 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.PU.

Expression of dpyGD4443 under the control of Scer\GAL4brk.PU results in a narrowing of the wing blade consistent with loss of anchorage along the anterior and posterior margins.

Expression of dpyGD4443 under the control of Scer\GAL4hh.PU results in a contraction of the posterior part of the wing blade.

Expression of dpGD4443 under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in a vortex phenotype in the adult thorax (this phenotype has weak penetrance, even when Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa is present to enhance RNAi).

Adults expressing dpyGD4443 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
