UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Sleep disturbances are a clinical feature of Huntington's Disease. Flies expressing httGD14339 pan-neuronally show fragmentation of nighttime sleep.
Flies expressing httGD14339 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU show a decrease in total nighttime sleep. Nighttime sleep is fragmented in these files compared to controls (average and maximum sleep bout length are reduced, and the number of sleep bouts is increased). This fragmentation of nighttime sleep is seen within the first 5 days of eclosion. Daytime sleep is unaffected in these flies.
Adults expressing httGD14339 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
Scer\GAL4en.PU/httGD14339 is an enhancer of visible phenotype of Scer\GAL4en.PU, Su(var)3-3GD9296
Scer\GAL4en.PU/httGD14339 is an enhancer of wing vein phenotype of Scer\GAL4en.PU, Su(var)3-3GD9296
The ovarian defects observed in females expressing Su(var)3-3GD9296 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI as well as the ectopic venation phenotype induced by Scer\GAL4en.PU-driven expression of Su(var)3-3GD9296 are enhanced by co-expression of httGD14339.
