Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Expressing Ire1GD3071 under the control of Scer\GAL4Ddc.PU does not affect lifespan, adult climbing ability or number of DA neurons.

The expression of Ire1GD3071 under the control of Scer\GAL4c564 blocks the normal inflammatory response to both Gram-positive (assessed by the expression levels of Drosomycin) and Gram-negative (assessed by the expression levels of Diptericin) bacterial infection, while leading to a mild but ectopic inflammatory response in basal (non-infected) conditions, as compared to controls.

Adults expressing Ire1GD3071 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

The co-expression of Ire1GD3071 enhances the eye defects induced by the expression of Hsap\PRNPV129.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU, even leading to a small eye.
