cuGD8898, Scer\GAL4tim.PE flies show essentially wild type free-running rhythms in constant dark.

cuGD8898, Scer\GAL4tim.PE flies are arrhythmic under constant light, like wild type.

Adults expressing cuGD8898 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) can show significantly reduced avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies, depending on the particular P{GD8898} insertion line used.

Expression of cuGD8898 under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL, Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI or Scer\GAL4da.G32 results in a curled wing phenotype.

Expression of cuGD8898 under the control of any one of Scer\GAL410, Scer\GAL4C-765, Scer\GAL4A9, Scer\GAL4vg.PM, Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096-KE, Scer\GAL430A, Scer\GAL4fat, Scer\GAL4Lsp2.PH, Scer\GAL4r4, Scer\GAL4yolk, Scer\GAL4Sgs3.PD, Scer\GAL4elav-C155, Scer\GAL4nrv2.PS, Scer\GAL4drl-PGAL8, Scer\GAL4burs.PP, Scer\GAL4per.PK, Scer\GAL4dimm-929, Scer\GAL4386Y, Scer\GAL4Ccap.PP, Scer\GAL4Eh.2.4, Scer\GAL4drm.7.1, Scer\GAL4C805, Scer\GAL4btl.PS or Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW does not result in a curled wing phenotype.

Expression of cuGD8898 under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev (using heat shock) at any developmental stage prior to the third larval instar does not result in a curled wing phenotype, whereas expression during mid and late third larval instar results in a low penetrance (less than 30%) of curled wings. Expression of cuGD8898 under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev during the pupal stage results in a fully penetrant curled wing phenotype, with expression as late as 11-24 hours prior to eclosion still resulting in a curled wing phenotype in the majority of flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 may result in semi-lethality, depending on the insertion line used.
