Expression of Prp8GD6578 under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU results in the appearance of apoptotic cells in the wing imaginal disc. This gives rise to adults with wings that have a reduction in the intervein region corresponding to the Scer\GAL4dpp.PU expression domain and which lack the anterior crossvein.

The prothoracic gland is reduced in size in larvae expressing Prp8GD6578 under the control of Scer\GAL4phm.PO.

Expression of Prp8GD6578 under the control of Scer\GAL4bbg-C96 results in a notched wing phenotype.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in loss of neuroblasts in the larval brain without any change in size of the remaining neuroblasts.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in shorter neuroblast lineages (less daughter cells per neuroblast) in the larval brain compared to controls.
