UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The expression of sdkGD2553 under the control of Scer\GAL4221, in combination with Dicer-2 for efficient RNAi, results in third instar larval class I abdominal dorsal multidendritic ddaD and ddaE neurons exhibiting dendrite branch misrouting, as compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG, in combination with Dicer-2 for efficient RNAi, results in no obvious dendrite morphology defects in class IV abdominal dorsal multidendritic ddaC neurons, as compared to controls.
Adults expressing sdkGD2553 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
