Expression of sqhGD1695 under the control of Scer\GAL4hth-GETDB in the larval antennal disc leads to disorganization and a breakdown of the field boundary at the A1 fold, in contrast to controls, and mislocalized cells are maintained and integrated in the epithelial sheet.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in an extreme increase in neuroblast size in the larval brain, without loss of neuroblasts.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in shorter neuroblast lineages (less daughter cells per neuroblast) in the larval brain compared to controls.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in extreme defects in the shape of neuroblasts in the larval brain.

Adults expressing sqhGD1695 under the control of the cardioblast-specific Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 driver show significantly reduced survival on day 6 after a shift to 29[o]C compared to control flies.

Adults expressing sqhGD1695 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in viable flies or late pupal lethality.

Co-expression of sqhGD1695 and BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa in the dorsal compartment of the wing disc (under the temperature-regulated control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 by Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B) results in highly elongated apical-basal cell length in mutant cells compared with control cells.

The shorter cell length observed in wing disc tissue expressing DadScer\UAS.cTa and BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa (under the temperature-regulated control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 by Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B), is rescued by co-expression of sqhGD1695.
