Adulthood-only expression of ttkGD4414 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 (using Gal80[ts] for the temporal control of expression) leads to a severe increase in the number of enteroendocrine cells in the adult midgut, as compared to controls.

Adults expressing ttkGD4414 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression of ttkGD4414 in the eye under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF has a very mild effect on eye development and ommatidial arrangement.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in external sensory organs consisting of empty or multiple sockets in 20-30% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain of the notum.

The clonal expression of ttkGD4414 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU suppresses the absence of enteroendocrine cells in adult midgut sina2 clones, even leading to a severe increase in number as compared to control clones.

The severely increased number of enteroendocrine cells in the adult midgut resulting from the adulthood-only expression of ttkGD4414 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 (using Gal80[ts]) is not suppressed by the co-expression of phylGD12579.

Co-expression of ttkGD4414 and MEP-1GD7728 in the eye under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF strongly affects ommatidial organisation, and a rough-eye phenotype is observed.

Expression of ttkGD4414 under the control of Scer\GAL4lz-gal4 in sina2,msi1/sina3,msi1 mutant third instar larval eye discs, significantly rescues the number of R1 and R6 cells, although recruitment of these cells appears delayed. Ectopic R7 cells are observed in most developing ommatidia.
