The expression of ykiGD11187 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR leads to indirect flight muscle atrophy during pupal development (after 48h APF); fibers are longer than in controls, failing to compact at 32h APF.

The expression of ykiGD11187 under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PU leads to a significant decrease in wing size, as compared to controls.

Expression of ykiGD11187 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in severly undergrown and malformed adult wings.

The decreased wing size induced by the expression of either ykiGD11187 or SmoxNIG.2262R under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PU (together with Dicer-2, for efficient RNAi) becomes more severe upon the co-expression of both.

The co-expression of ykiGD11187 (together with Dicer-2, for efficient RNAi) partially suppresses the severely increased wing size induced by the expression of SmoxSDVD.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PU.

The increased adult wing size characteristic for flies expressing AckScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 is completely suppressed by coexpression of ykiGD11187 : the resulting wings are severely undergrown and malformed compared to wild-type and their size is not significantly different from when ykiGD11187 is expressed on its own.

Expression of ykiGD11187 under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 suppresses the increased number of mitotic cells seen in the midgut of Pez1/Pez2 adults and restores the body size of Pez1/Pez2 adults to normal.

Expression of ykiGD11187 under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 during the adult stage only (using the temperature sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele to limit the stage of expression) partially suppresses the increased number of mitotic cells seen in the midgut of Pez1/Pez2 adults.

Expression of ykiGD11187 under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 during the adult stage only (using the temperature sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele to limit the stage of expression) has no clear effect on the increased number of mitotic cells seen in the midgut of Pez1/Pez2 adults.
