Reference
Expression of Su(var)205[dsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS] under the control of Scer\GAL4[Act.PU] results mainly in pupal lethality. Adult escapers are mostly female. Expression of Su(var)205[dsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS] under the control of Scer\GAL4[en-e16E] results in increased cell death in wing discs and missing parts of the posterior wing compartments. Expression of Su(var)205[dsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS] under the control of Scer\GAL4[ey.PH] results in increased cell death in eye discs and reduced adult eyes. Neuroblasts that express Su(var)205[dsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS] under the control of Scer\GAL4[Act.PU] show defective chromosomes; a phenotype that occurs approximately twice as much as males as in females.
