Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Imprecise excision of the P{EPgy2}EY09246 insertion, resulting in a deletion of nucleotides -431 to +1307 relative to the Apc2 transcription start site. 720bp of the insertion remain at this deletion site. There is a second deletion of 4bp at positions +1313 to +1316.

Embryos maternally and zygotically mutant for Apc2[33] have an average cuticle score of 3.2 (based on the numerical scale described in McCartney et al., 1994, where 0 is a wild type embryo and 6 indicates the most severe defects).
Severe hypomorph. Homozygous embryos derived from homozygous females show an expansion of naked cuticle at the expense of denticles.

No apical constriction is seen in the cells surrounding the wing pouch in Apc[Q8] Apc2[33] double mutant third instar larval clones. Apc2[19-3] Apc[Q8] double mutant clone cells generated in the medullar region of third instar larval brains sometimes segregate from their neighbours to form cysts. When clones are induced in the medullar neurons the axons extend correctly to the medullar neuropil.
Apc2[33] Apc[Q8] double mutant intestinal stem cell clones in the adult midgut show hyperplasia. The hyperplasia seen in Apc2[33] Apc[Q8] double mutant intestinal stem cell clones in the adult midgut is completely suppressed if they are also expressing pan[ΔN.Scer\UAS] under the control of Scer\GAL4[tub].
The photoreceptor cell apoptosis phenotype seen in ApcQ8 homozygotes is suppressed by Apc233/+.
The photoreceptor apoptosis phenotype seen in flies expressing armScer\UAS.Exel under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 is partially suppressed by Apc233/Apc233. ApcQ8 Apc25-3/ApcQ8 Apc233 double mutants show expansion of sternal territory in the abdomen and ectopic sternal bristles, at the expense of the pleura. ApcQ8 Apc2G5028/ApcQ8 Apc233 double mutants show expansion of sternal territory in the abdomen and ectopic sternal bristles, at the expense of the pleura.
