Expression of slpr^{Scer\UAS.P\T.cPa} via Scer\GAL4^pnr-MD237 results in reduction of the thorax and scutellar area, often accompanied by loss of bristles.

Expression of slpr^{Scer\UAS.P\T.cPa} under the control of Scer\GAL4^arm.PS in an otherwise wild-type background results in a larval cuticle with a puckered dorsal midline.

Adults expressing slpr^{Scer\UAS.P\T.cPa} under the control of Scer\GAL4^pnr-MD237 show a narrowing of the scutellum compared to wild type.

hep⁶⁹⁹/+ suppresses the thorax closure and loss-of-bristle defects of Scer\GAL4^pnr-MD237 slpr^{Scer\UAS.P\T.cPa} flies.

alph^XS-88/+ or alph^S-331/+ enhances the thorax closure defects of Scer\GAL4^pnr-MD237 slpr^{Scer\UAS.P\T.cPa} flies - the scutellum is smaller, and more bristles are lost.
