Detailed Description

CharonEY18569/Df(2L)Exel7006 flies exhibit significantly reduced susceptibility to infection with L. monocytogenes, P. rettgeri and B. subtilis; this enhanced resistance to L. monocytogenes is accompanied with a reduced bacterial load both 24 and 48 hrs post-infection, as compared to wild type.

CharonEY18569/Df(2L)Exel7006 and CharonEY18569/+ flies exhibit significantly increased survival in response to systemic infection with L. monocytogenes, P. rettgeri and B. subtilis, as compared to wild type.

Expression of CharonScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4c564 suppresses the increased survival seen in CharonEY18569/+ flies in response to L. monocytogenes, P. rettgeri and B. subtilis infection.
