Expression of tayEP-866 under the control of any of Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62, Scer\GAL4salm.EPv or Scer\GAL4dpp.3KK results in a reduction in the wing size and partial loss of longitudinal veins. The same phenotype is seen when tayEP-866 is expressed under the control of either Scer\GAL4ap-md544 or Scer\GAL4hh-Gal4. Flies expressing tayEP-866 under the control of Scer\GAL4Dll-md23 exhibit fusion of the tarsal joints. Flies expressing tayEP-866 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PU show a significant reduction in the size of the eye. Flies expressing tayEP-866 under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 exhibit loss of sensory organs in the thorax.

Expression of tayEP-866 enhances the wing vein phenotype seen when EgfrNIG.10079R is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv. Expression of tayEP-866 suppresses the ectopic wing vein phenotype seen when Ras85DV12.UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv. Expression of tayEP-866 does not modify the wing vein loss phenotype seen when Mkp3UAS.Tag:MYC is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv. A Mkp3M76-R2b mutant background does not modify the loss of wing veins and reduction in wing size seen when tayEP-866 is expressed in the entire wing blade and hinge under the control of Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62. Expression of tayEP-866 partially suppresses the ectopic wing vein phenotype seen when rlSem.cUa.UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv.

Expression of taydsRNA.Scer\UAS suppresses the wing size reduction and loss of veins observed when tayEP-866 is expressed under the control of either Scer\GAL4salm.EPv or Scer\GAL4dpp.3KK.
