Wing size is reduced when hppyScer\UAS.cMa is expressed using Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62. Both cell size and cell number are reduced compared to controls. These effects are more severe is flies that carry two copies of both hppyScer\UAS.cMaand Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62; extra vein material is also produced in this case.

Expression of hppyScer\UAS.cMa using Scer\GAL4en.PU results in a significant increase in the fraction of mitotic cells in the posterior compartment of the wing disc.

Expression of hppyScer\UAS.cMa using Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 or Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in a robust cell-autonomous apoptotic response in wing discs.

Expression of hppyScer\UAS.cMa with Scer\GAL4ppl.PP causes the fusion of lipid vesicles in the fat body.
