ScerGAL4^NP5247 drives expression in progenitors (intestinal stem cells and enteroblasts) in the adult midgut.

ScerGAL4^mir-8-NP5247 drives expression in glial cells of the perineurial sheath surrounding the central brain anlage and the developing optic lobes in all larval stages. An average of 137 ScerGAL4^mir-8-NP5247 positive glial cells is detected within the optic lobe, with around 25 cells on the surface of the developing optic lobe showing an elaborate arborization pattern. Expression is also driven in a layer of glial cells positioned under the subperineurial glia.
