hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
Expression of Frq1DN.Scer\UAS results in an increase in the total area of the larval neuromuscular junction compared to wild type. The amplitude of the evoked excitatory junctional potential (EJP) at the neuromuscular junction is decreased compared to wild type in larvae expressing Frq1DN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4D42. Flies expressing Frq1DN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 show a significant reduction in walking speed and in average distance walked in Buridan's paradigm.

Larvae co-expressing Frq2DN.Scer\UAS, Frq1DN.Scer\UAS and Frq1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4D42 show an increase in the number of type 1s boutons at the larval neuromuscular junction, while the number of type 1b boutons is not significantly affected.
