Detailed Description
	Statement Reference The number of boutons in the cleft between muscles 6 and 7 is increased compared to controls in Mical^G158/Df(3R)swp2^MICAL third instar larvae and the muscle 6+7 surface area is also consistently larger than wild type. The regular sarcomeric organisation of the indirect flight muscles is lost in Mical^G158/Df(3R)swp2^MICAL flies, with most myofibrils appearing to have fused into an amorphous mass. (Beuchle et al., 2007)
