    exAP50/exAP50 eyes (created by the EGUF method in otherwise heterozygous animals) contain significantly increased number of interomatidial cells (IOC) in the pupal retina compared to wild-type.

    The wing discs of exe1/exAP50 transheterozygotes are overgrown compared to controls.

    exAP50 mutants exhibit delays in border cell migration. Polarisation of F-actin is abnormal in exAP50 mutant border cell clusters.
