Isolated RP2 neuron clones expressing GSd406GSd406 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP (clones generated using the Scer\FLP1eve.RN2 line) show altered distribution of dendrites in the dendritic field at 25-31 hours after egg laying: the number of dendrites targeted to posterior regions is increased, the number targeted to medial regions is decreased and the number targeted to lateral regions is increased.
Fas2-positive axon bundles in the ventral nerve cord are diffuse or less distinct than normal and are seen misplaced within the connective in embryos expressing GSd406GSd406 under the control of Scer\GAL4scrt-11-6. In the periphery, the ISNb motor neuron is missing or thinned.
The "GSd406" line contains two insertions (P{GSV1}GSd406a and P{GSV1}GSd406b) and it is not known which insertion is responsible for the lethality and other phenotypes seen in combination with the Scer\GAL4scrt-11-6 driver. FlyBase curator comment: a GSd406GSd406 allele has been made to accommodate the overexpression phenotypes, until it is known which (or both) insertions cause them.
