Expression of Manf[Scer\UAS.cPa] under the control of one of Scer\GAL4[da.G32], Scer\GAL4[tub] or Scer\GAL4[69B] rescues the larval lethality of Manf[Δ96] animals (assayed by survival into the pupal stage). Expression of Manf[Scer\UAS.cPa] under the control of Scer\GAL4[69B] rescues the embryonic lethality of Manf[Δ96] embryos that lack both maternal and zygotic Manf[+] function.
