Expression of TimpScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4Lsp2.PH results in a thoracic defects, ranging from clefts in the notum at the dorsal midline to a thorax missing one or both heminota (the heminotum remains inside the animal together with the corresponding wing).

85% of pupae expressing TimpScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4Lsp2.PH show wing eversion defects 6 hours after puparium formation (eversion is complete at this time in wild-type animals); 23% have partially everted wings and 62% show a complete failure of disc eversion. 12% have leg eversion defects.

98.1% of pupae expressing TimpScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4Ubx-lac1-Gal4 show wing eversion defects 6 hours after puparium formation (eversion is complete at this time in wild-type animals); 5.1% have partially everted wings and 92.9% show a complete failure of disc eversion.

The basement membrane of wing discs is not degraded in pupae expressing TimpScer\UAS.cSa under the control of either Scer\GAL4Lsp2.PH or Scer\GAL4Ubx-lac1-Gal4 which fail to evert their wing discs.

Embryos expressing TimpScer\UAS.cSa and ReckScer\UAS.cSa in the haemocytes under the control of Scer\GAL4srp.Hemo display normal haemocyte migration into the tail region of the embryo.

The degradation of the wing disc basement membrane that is seen in animals expressing Tak1Scer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 is suppressed by co-expression of TimpScer\UAS.cSa.

The invasive behaviour and degradation of the basement membrane of clones in the eye antennal disc which are expressing Ras85DV12.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C and are also homozygous for scrib1 is suppressed if the clones are also co-expressing both ReckScer\UAS.cSa and TimpScer\UAS.cSa simultaneously.
