Ectopic expression of RagA-BQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of the Scer\GAL4elav-C155 driver does not alter the number of neuromuscular junction boutons in third instar larvae compared to controls.

Expression of RagAQ61L.Scer\UAS using Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 results in abnormally large wings in which cell number is increased.

Expression of RagAQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU results in an increase in the area of the posterior compartment of the wing (the domain of driver expression) compared to the control anterior compartment.

Expression of RagAQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in a significant increase in the size of the posterior compartment of the wing, compared with that of the control anterior compartment of the wing. The average size of individual cells in the posterior compartment of the wing is significantly increased in these flies.

Under starvation conditions, expression of RagAQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified in clones in the larval fat body results in a 3-fold increase in cell size compared with neighbouring control cells. Under normal fed conditions, expression of RagAQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified in clones in the larval fat body has little effect on cell size.

The number of autophagosomes per cell is reduced in clones of fat body cells expressing RagAQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified under starvation conditions compared to control cells under these conditions.

Expression of RagAQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA has no significant effect on viability under normal fed conditions, but results in a significantly accelerated death rate under starvation conditions compared to control flies.

Ectopic expression of RagA-BQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of the Scer\GAL4elav-C155 driver fully restores the decreased number of neuromuscular junction boutons characteristic for the Trpml1 mutant third instar larvae.

Ectopic expression of RagA-BQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of the Scer\GAL4elav-C155 driver in the Trpml1 mutant background significantly increases the proportion of adults that eclose from pupal cases compared to the Trpml1 mutants.

Ectopic expression of RagA-BQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of the Scer\GAL4elav-C155 driver fully restores the decreased number of neuromuscular junction boutons characteristic for the cln3ΔMB1 mutant third instar larvae.

Expression of RagAQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA suppresses the increase in Lysotracker-positive vesicle volume seen in trpml1 mutant fat body cells.

Co-expression of hppyScer\UAS.cMa cancels the increase in wing size and wing cell number resulting from expression of RagA[Q61L.Scer\UAS] using Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62.

The overgrowth of the posterior compartment of the wing which is caused by expression of RagAQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU is still seen in a hppySH1261 background.

The decrease in relative cell area compared to controls that is seen in Rheb26.2 clones in the fat body is not rescued by expression of RagAQ61L.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified.
