Expression of Opa1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PF leads to protection from rotenone toxicity, with mutant flies exhibiting no significant loss of PPL1 dopaminergic neurons in adult brains after rotenone feeding, in contrast to controls.

Dopaminergic neurons in flies expressing Opa1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PF exhibit mitochondrial aggregation and fusion, as compared to controls.

Flies expressing Opa1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU do not exhibit any discernible eye phenotype, as compared to controls.

Adults expressing opa1-likeScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR show defects in mitochondrial morphology in the indirect flight muscles, with larger than normal mitochondria being seen between the muscle fibers.
