The expression of wtsKK101055 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR leads to indirect flight muscle atrophy during pupal development after 32h APF.

Expressing wtsKK101055 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc.PU results in a reduced area between L3 and L4 in the wing.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU leads to an enlarged eye.

Expression of wtsKK101055 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF leads to an increase in eye size when compared to controls.

The expression of wtsKK101055, driven by Scer\GAL4NP0001 or driven by Scer\GAL4hs.PB and induced by 29[o]C, but not when driven by Scer\GAL4ppl.PU, induces a significantly higher mortality to Ecc15 enteric infection, as compared to controls; Scer\GAL4hs.PB-driven expression induced by shift to 29[o]C for 2 days before the experiment abolishes the Ecc15 infection-induced lipid droplet autophagy (dual LS2- and Atg8-positive puncta) in the adult midgut observed in controls.

Expressing wtsKK101055 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 stimulates tissue overgrowth in the wing disc and results in a significant expansion of the anterior-posterior compartment boundary of the disc, while expression under the control of Scer\GAL4hh-Gal4 causes an expansion of the wing disc posterior compartment in third instar larvae.

Expression of wtsKK101055 driven in the fat body of male flies by Scer\GAL4r4 (or driven by Scer\GAL4yolk in female fat bodies) significantly decreases survival of flies in response to Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus or Enterococcus faecalis) and a fungus (Aspergillus fumigatus), compared to controls; expression with Scer\GAL4r4 in males has no effect on survival in response to Gram-negative bacteria (Erwinia carotovora carotovora 15 or Escherichia coli). Bacterial load (measured as colony forming units 24hr post infection) of S. aureus (but not Erwinia carotovora carotovora 15) significantly increases in adult flies, compared to controls. Expression of wtsKK101055 driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PU causes overgrowth of the eyes (leading to larger eyes).

Expressing wtsKK101055 under the control of Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407 (in combination with a Dicer-2 transgene to enhance RNAi efficiency) results in premature type I neuroblast reactivation in late-first/early-second instar larval ventral nerve cords and brains, concomitant with an overall volume increase in the central nervous system. A significant volume increase of the central nervous system is also visible at third instar larval stage.

Expressing wtsKK101055 under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA in combination with Scer\GAL80ase.PN (to restrict expression to type II neuroblasts) and a Dicer-2 transgene (to enhance RNAi efficiency) has no effect on the volume of type II lineages in the brain lobe.

Type I neuroblasts in somatic clones expressing wtsKK101055 under the control of Scer\GAL4NP1316 (in combination with a Dicer-2 transgene to enhance RNAi efficiency) maintain cell polarity typical of wild-type controls.

Expression of wtsKK101055 under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU in third instar larvae leads to overgrowth of the wing disc posterior compartment, as compared to controls.

Expression of wtsKK101055 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU leads to increased eye size.

Expression of wtsKK101055 (co-expressed with Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa) under the control of Scer\GAL4repo.PU substantially increases glial cell numbers in the third instar larval eye disc and brain.

Expression of wtsKK101055 in adult intestine stem cells and enteroblasts using Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 increases the precursor cell population.

After shifting adult flies to 29[o]C for 14 days, Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B-Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 driven wtsKK101055 flies exhibit a dramatic increase in the number of intestine stem cells in the midgut.

Knockdown of wts through expression of wtsKK101055 in absorptive enterocytes in the adult midgut under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 and Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B induces a dramatic increase in intestine stem cell proliferation.

The co-expression of pnutGD1512 and wtsKK101055 from the second instar larval stage under the combined control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 and Gal80[ts] leads to the formation of tumors in the third instar larval wing disc.

Expression of Ncoa6HMS00664 suppresses the increase in eye size seen when wtsKK101055 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU.

Expression of trrHMS01019 does not visibly suppress the increase in eye size seen when wtsKK101055 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU.

Co-expression of ykidsRNA.N.Scer\UAS with wtsKK101055 in adult intestine stem cells and enteroblasts using Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 suppresses the increase in the number of precursor cells.

Co-expression of sddsRNA.N.Scer\UAS and sddsRNA.C.Scer\UAS with wtsKK101055 in adult intestine stem cells and enteroblasts using Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 suppresses the increase in the number of precursor cells found in wtsKK101055 mutants.

Co-expression of ykidsRNA.N.Scer\UAS in flies driving wtsKK101055 under the control of Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B-Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 that have been shifted to 29[o]C for 14 days suppresses the dramatic increase seen in the number of intestine stem cells found upon expression of wtsKK101055 alone.

Co-expression of ykidsRNA.N.Scer\UAS with wtsKK101055 in absorptive enterocytes in the adult midgut under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 and Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B suppresses the proliferation increase in intestine stem cells seen upon expression of wtsKK101055 alone.

Co-expression of Hsap\LATS2G909R.Scer\UAS and wtsKK101055 both under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in wings that are about 11% larger than wild-type wings.

Co-expression of Hsap\LATS2C953.Scer\UAS and wtsKK101055 both under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in abnormal wing morphology.
